Four days of PD focused on how 4th - 6th grade dual language teachers can guide their students to transfer content from Spanish to English. Project SUCCESS will provide the texts Teaching for Biliteracy: Strengthening Bridges between Languages (Beeman and Urow, 2012) and Biliteracy from the Start: Literacy Squared in Action (Escamilla et al., 2013) to CFBISD project participants.
- Day 1 - Building on foundational knowledge in teaching for biliteracy (Aug 8)
- Day 2 - Collecting information about students and exploring biliteracy learner profiles (Sep 24)
- Day 3 - Guiding students to strategic cross-linguistic development and transferability (Oct 22)
- Day 4 - Developing a plan of action for strengthening connections between languages (Nov 12)
