• Full-time undergraduate or graduate student
• Maintain full- time enrollment unless fewer than twice the number of hours required to be full-time remaining in degree program
• Major in Interdisciplinary Studies program leading to teacher certification  in Early Childhood Education through Grade 6 (EC-6) and/or Grades 4 through 8 (4-8) unless no applicant possess these characteristics, then student enrolling full-time in the College of Education at the University will be eligible for consideration
• Must be enrolled in a Professional Development School semester (PDS) during the semester the scholarship is received
• Demonstrate eligibility for need-based financial assistance as determined by the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA, or its successor)
