DENTON (UNT), Texas — The University of North Texas College of Education online master’s programs ranked among the nation’s top 20 in multiple categories in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Best Online Programs rankings.

This year, U.S. News & World Report included 18 new specialty rankings. UNT online master’s programs in education ranked among the top 20 nationally on two of the new lists, coming in at No. 15 in curriculum and instruction and No. 17 in educational administration. UNT also ranked No. 20 on this year’s list of Best Online Master's in Education Programs.

UNT’s College of Education offers seven online master’s-level programs including higher education and special education in addition to online certification programs in areas such as educational psychology and teacher education and administration. Some are accelerated programs that allow students to graduate with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years. The online educational psychology master’s degrees offer concentrations in family policy and program administration, gifted and talented, learning and development and research and evaluation. In teacher education and administration, concentrations include curriculum and instruction, educational leadership and teaching.

Other national rankings for UNT this year include No. 27 in Best Online Master's in Criminal Justice Programs and No. 31 in Best Online MBA Programs. 

The university also rose three spots from last year landing at No. 66 in Best Online Bachelor's Programs. UNT offers six online bachelor’s programs including criminal justice, learning technologies and rehabilitation studies as well as two online undergraduate certificates. UNT’s online Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree is designed to provide transfer students from community colleges and technical institutions, non-traditional students with college credit and veterans or active-duty military personnel a direct path to a fully accredited bachelor’s degree.

UNT offers more than 80 online program options including bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees and undergraduate and graduate certificates.
