- Full-time undergraduate student
- Maintain full- time enrollment unless fewer than twice the number of hours required to be full-time remaining in degree program
- Major in Education K-12 unless no applicant possess these characteristics, then student enrolling full-time in the graduate Teacher Education and Administration Program through the College of Education will be eligible for consideration
- A 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Be a graduating senior from a high school in Cooke County, Texas, or a former high school graduate with one to two years of successful attendance at the Local (Cooke County) community college in a pre-education curriculum
- Have and maintain through graduation, the intention of becoming a full-time teacher K-12 public school system upon graduation and certification
