Lydia K. Caldwell Dr. Caldwell is an assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion and Recreation at the University of North Texas. She earned her B.S. in Biology and M.S.E in Exercise Science from the University of Dayton prior to completing her Ph.D. in Kinesiology at The Ohio State University. Dr. Caldwell's primary research efforts are centered on identifying evidence-based
strategies to promote performance readiness and enhance resiliency. Her focus on
the importance of appropriate recovery stems from her work with high-performance populations
in both the military and athletics. Her research approach involves a broad range of
neuromuscular and biochemical techniques to monitor the restoration of physiological
and psychological processes. Her most recent work focuses on the use of floatation-restricted
environmental stimulation therapy (i.e., float or float therapy) to augment sleep
and reduce stress signaling. |
Trey J. Botkin Trey is a PhD student in the Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Exercise Educational
Psychology program at University of North Texas. From Meridian, Idaho, he received
his B.S. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and his M.S. in Kinesiology (focus
in Sport Psychology) from UNT. His research interests are related to the effects of
relaxation on motor skill performance, cross-cultural differences in training and
recovery modalities. |
