Meadows Chair for Excellence in Education

The Meadows Chair for Excellence in Education, established at UNT in 1996 by an endowment from the Meadows Foundation, supports the educational mission of the department, the college, and the university. Professor James Hoffman, who belongs to the faculty of Teacher Education and Administration, holds the Meadows Chair position. The purpose of the Meadows Chair is "to attract nationally known scholars and outstanding professional educators, encompassing all disciplines in education, to enhance and advance the professional development of our faculty and the preparation of educators for the nation’s schools."
