The Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators recently selected Karisma Morton as an AMTE STaR Fellow for the 2021-22 academic year. She is one of 22 early career mathematics education scholars selected for this fellowship.

The Service, Teaching and Research Program is an induction program for early career mathematics educators working at institutions of higher education. The program was initiated through a grant from the National Science Foundation. AMTE provides a professional home for the program as one of the mentoring programs for members.

This fellowship program supports the professional development of tenure track mathematics education faculty in their first or second year of an academic appointment in the areas of service, teaching and research.
