Top 65 Early Childhood Bachelors Programs 2020The Interdisciplinary Studies degree in the University of North Texas’ College of Education is ranked among the top 65 Early Childhood Education programs in the country in the 2020, according to, Discover Early Childhood EDU.

The researchers for these rankings reviewed many colleges with degrees specializing in early childhood education. The main focus was on the availability of different degree programs that are both affordable and high quality. There was also a focus on finding these programs throughout the US so that students would not feel they had to move halfway across the country just to find a program.

The College of Education offers the Early Childhood Education through Grade 6 certification as part of it’s Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. Students can opt to reach for a specialized certification in the areas of Bilingual Supplemental Certification, ESL Supplemental Certification, or Special Education for EC-12 Certification.

The degree requires the completion of approximately 120 semester hours, depending upon the selected certification program. UNT’s Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with early childhood through grade 6 certification program develops quality educators, as they must pass a rigorous curriculum to earn their degree and seek certification from the State.
