Dr. Azadeh Ahmadi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Higher
Education at the University of North Texas. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education
with a specialization in Research Methodology and a minor in Educational Psychology
from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Ahmadi also holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling and an M.S. in Educational Psychology. She is a National Certified
Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her professional experience encompasses
providing mental health counseling and crisis intervention services across various
settings, such as children's emergency shelters, domestic violence shelters, schools,
and college counseling centers. Dr. Ahmadi's research interests are grounded in forming
partnerships with community-based agencies through outcome research and developing
and validating measurement tools as well as exploring intersectionality within the
context of mental health.
