Lisa Pedevilla is a Clinical Professor of Teacher Education and Administration at the University of North Texas. She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. She holds a Texas Superintendent Certification, Texas Principal Certification, and M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas. She earned a B.S. in Education from Baylor University.
Her research interests focus on the barriers and supports women face when pursuing the superintendency.
Prior to joining UNT, Dr. Pedevilla held a variety of leadership roles, including Executive Director of Curriculum Instruction, Principal, Coordinator of 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, Coordinator of K-12 English Language Arts and Social Studies, Assistant Principal, and Teacher. She has also served in leadership positions with several professional organizations, including the Texas Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development Board of Directors and Texas Elementary Principal and Supervisor Association Advocacy Standing Committee.
