Degree Requirements: Counseling Minor

A Counseling Minor is available to undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

Students must consult with their academic advisor to have the minor officially approved.

The minor requires 18 semester credit hours selected from the approved courses listed below.

Of these, 6 hours must come from:

  • COUN 2610 – Principles of Counseling I
  • COUN 3620 – Principles of Counseling II

  • COUN 4620 – Interpersonal Skills in Helping Relationships
  • COUN 4900 – Special Problems (Instructor approval required)
