We work across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including:

  • Teacher Preparation – Equipping educators with the skills and knowledge to thrive in today’s classrooms.
  • Educational Leadership – Developing visionary leaders who drive systemic change.
  • Counseling – Supporting mental health and well-being through evidence-based practices.
  • Higher Education – Enhancing student success and institutional effectiveness.
  • Educational Psychology – Exploring how people learn and applying insights to improve outcomes.
  • Human Development and Family Sciences – Strengthening families and communities through research and practice.
Our research is community-engaged, meaning we collaborate closely with schools, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure our work addresses real-world challenges. The impact of our efforts extends beyond local communities shaping policies, practices, and innovations that influence education nationally and globally.

Together, we are committed to creating a better future through education one that empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and transforms society.

COE Internal Research Grant Program

Securing external funding and launching new research projects can be challenging. To address this, the College of Education (COE) Leadership strategically invests internal resources to empower faculty in advancing their research agendas.

This initial funding serves as a catalyst enabling faculty to collect preliminary data in innovative research areas, strengthen project design, build competitive proposals for extramural grants, and launch new alternative revenue generating activities. These early-stage investments significantly increase the likelihood of success and future success.

By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, COE ensures that faculty have the tools and resources needed to make a meaningful impact through research. Explore our internal funding opportunities and start building the foundation for your next breakthrough:
