Graduate students seeking this support must be enrolled in at least six (6) hours
of course work or dissertation during the semester the travel occurs. Students are
limited to receive college funds for one conference per academic year, and no more
than twice in a three-year period. The funds support student who are presenting research at a national or international
conference. Students who have not received funding from the college in the last two
years are encouraged to apply.
The maximum amount to be awarded is $500. Virtual conferences are funded for registration
costs up to $250. Funding is not available for state, regional, or local presentation.
Applicants must show proof of conference letter acceptance in their name. If you are
also awarded travel funds from the Toulouse Graduate school, the reimbursement will
be combined with the College of Education Funds.
Our office accepts travel fund applications from September 1st of the academic year to May 31st or until funds are no longer available.

We do not accept applications and requests that are submitted after a conference has
occured.
The student is responsible for turning in receipts within two (2) weeks of the scheduled
end of the conference.
The departments will process the student's allotted reimbursement for the conference registration and travel. Please submit proof of all purchases, showing a zero (0) balance, to your designated contact in your department. Final processing is completed by UNT Travel and placed into your direct deposit account.
